Maxwell Forsyth - Background
|
Healing is Max's vocation, and has been his primary focus for most of his adult life. Long before alternative medicine became trendy, Max began exploring holistic approaches to treatment because of his sincere conviction that this was the only way to instigate a true and lasting cure as opposed to a temporary relief of symptoms.
He has now been studying how to strengthen and heal the human body for more than 30 years through the investigation into and practice of healing systems both ancient and modern. Max has synthesised these techniques into a uniquely holistic approach which is tailored to the needs of each individual patient.
|
Max has treated patients from all over the world with vastly different lifestyles, cultural influences and religious beliefs. Therefore he is especially aware of the sensitivities of each individual and approaches each patient with consideration to ensure that they are relaxed and comfortable with the proposed technique and the environment in which they will be treated.
|
His unique non-invasive approach promotes and strengthens the body's natural capacity for healing and greatly benefits people requiring both immediate and long-term treatment and support. Max’s methods are effective in preventing the degeneration of health, stimulating regeneration after illness or injury and the treatment of specific conditions such as sports injuries and occupational strains.
Having practised yoga and meditational techniques in the late 60’s, Max met his first and most influential teacher Yoshio Kawahara who taught him Shiatsu and Macrobiotics. After 10 years of study with Yoshio, Max decided to utilise his skills professionally and established a practice in North West London.

As his experience grew, his insight and intuitiveness deepened, and he began to realise that his healing powers involved an added dimension that was not entirely encompassed by Shiatsu. He had become aware that he was controlling a ‘transference’ of energy between himself and his patients. In order to understand this phenomena fully, he went to Japan and embarked on a further 6 years of intense study of Shiatsu, Kiatsu and Seitai under some of Japan's foremost masters.
Upon return to the UK, Max began the study and practise of CHINESE CHI-KUNG, TAI-CHI and their related healing systems of BU-CHI and healing exercises. During this 11 year period Max encountered THE RADIANCE TECHNIQUE (original REIKI) which he mastered to practitioner level and integrated into his overall treatment programme. Subsequently the efficacy of treatment has been enhanced by the incorporation of modern techniques such as NEURO-STRUCTURAL INTEGRATION TECHNIQUE (NST) and CHIRON HEALING.
